The Festival of Sacred Music is about reviving the best of Thiruvaiyaru - its arts and music, its landscape and the local life.

The noble ambition of the festival is to restore the pride of the Music Centre that existed at the time of Saint Tyagaraja, and showcase it for the NRI's, tourists, as well as the local people. |

The aim of the festival is to bring music to the public, to expose people to the various forms of music, help local artisans find more outlets to increase revenues and get local musicians to perform more often so that the town can also become a destination for tourists, for people who once hailed from this area to come by more often and for artistes to find their own space. |

We have plans to bring musicians performing sacred music from all parts of India and abroad in future. |
